Come and join us at our\u00a0Dog’s Christmas Party!!!!!!\u00a0\u00a0Yes, your dog can bring his handler…\u00a0Fun and games for all (no fancy dress this year).\u00a0\u00a0 Just bring a plate of snacks or cake and come and have some fun with your dog \u2013 8.30am for 9am at the Kennel Club of Harare.\u00a0\u00a0There will be no entry charge.\u00a0\u00a0There will be a break for tea \/ drinks (cash bar) and cake \/ snacks etc at 10.30am.\u00a0\u00a0Some members have said that they would like to stay and have a braai afterwards so those wanting to do that, please bring your own meat and salad.<\/p>\n
GAMES \u2013 these will be in the ring by the kitchen.<\/strong><\/p>\n DOG JUMPING – <\/strong>will be in the ring closest to Hampden Street.\u00a0\u00a0Classes for all dogs, newcomers, beginners etc.<\/p>\n Some of the games which will be played on Sunday are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n Musical chairs<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0one class for\u00a0beginner dogs and handlers which will be followed by another class for the more\u00a0advanced dogs (those who can sit and stay on their own).<\/p>\n Fastest recall to handler<\/strong>\u00a0– your dog will be held at one end of the ring and the handler will go to the other end of the ring.\u00a0\u00a0You will then call your dog to you…a stop watch is used to do the timing.\u00a0\u00a0The fastest dog back to its owner wins!<\/p>\n Eleven legged race<\/strong>\u00a0– find yourself a partner as\u00a0two handlers and two dogs are needed….handlers legs are tied together with a sock, with a dog on each side and competitors have to run across the ring and back…<\/p>\n Down on the spot<\/strong>\u00a0– send your dog to the spot and down it.<\/p>\n Catch the ball<\/strong>\u00a0– handlers are in a line with their dogs sitting opposite. Handler throws a ball for the dog to catch – the dog has two chances to catch.
